the dmg story

Established in the 1970s selling parts for Jaguar and Daimler cars, DMG now supply parts for Jaguar, Daimler, MG, Triumph, Mazda MX-5 & Morris Minor Cars. DMG comprises of three of the most established market leaders in the car parts industry.

Ideally located adjacent to junction 2 of the M5 at Oldbury in the Midlands, the premises have grown within the site that the company owns and has been there for the past 40 years.

David Manners – Chairman of the company started the company out of passion for his Daimler Dart after trying to source a part for his beloved car.  The rest is history as the company took off when David Manners sourced parts to sell from his garage at home.  Joined by his daughter Kate Manners in 1995 – Kate now MD took over the management of the company in 2011.  In 2000 the company took full control of Abingdon MG Parts and bought it into the group. This increased the companies range to cover MG, Triumph, Austin Healey and MX5 parts. A move which enabled the company to sustainably grow into one of the UK’s Classic Car parts suppliers.

DMG has a small but busy Engineering department in-house that produces a number of parts for both the Jaguar and MG sides of the business, these include toe boards for XJ6 Series 1,2 & 3, panel sill ends for the XJ6/XJ12, header tanks for the Daimler Dart, Radius Arm Assembly’s for several vehicles and petrol tank Sender Units for the E-type and Mk 2 Jaguar. We also manufacture parts in Morris Minor and MG.
