Today we hear from our sales advisor, Simon who talks about how it has been for him still been coming in to work during to the current Covid19 situation….

“Following the lock down, we have been working on a skeleton staff basis. A few key staff members have been working 12 hour days, dealing with ways to enable the supply of Classic Car DMG parts to be supplied to customers.

As some of our larger wholesale customers have closed during the lockdown, and some of our Classic Car restoration customers have closed too, we have worked tirelessly in ensuring our retail customers are well served with the parts required for the lockdown cars, kept at home in garages.

Within the office we have had the most amazing team work, with sales people picking warehouse orders, warehouse pickers and packers getting goods inward stocks booked in and back on the shelves, the managers with their steel tow cap boots on sorting out pick lists and the late night shipping coordinator burning the midnight oil, working hard with our shipping company to get the orders on lorries and to distribution centres.

The company spirit has been amazing, all in our quest to get those important parts to our important customers. A lot of our retail customers have been able to continue with their projects and maintenance programmes, a lot of positive work has been carried out over the last 5/6 weeks.

It's been a fabulous working environment and whilst all maintaining safe working distance, mask wearing and lots of hand disinfectant, we have been able to work safely, achieve customer demands and continue to offer a friendly, helpful service to our customers, all with hard work and dedication."
